my freezing handsyou're as practical as the gloves  that i refuse to wear  to save my freezing hands   
and i could be wrapped up  in your love like a blanket,  but i guess i'm just not ready to lie down yet.   
it makes no sense to sit out in the cold  on your front porch the way that i do,  but it's easier this way  cos i don't have to pay anyone for the heat.   
but i'll talk to you through the window,  make faces against the glass,  until you ask me to come in -  i'll just shake my head and take a walk.   
and you know all the while,  i'll complain about the chi my freezing hands

real numbeventually you get real numb  even when you could've sworn it would never end,  when that throb felt like it just wasn't gonna cease;  eventually...  eventually it's done.   
and you can go ahead and say  that you wish it would never stop,  that just to feel is better than  a whole lot of nothing, and maybe you're right,  but one day,  you'll still go numb.   
you fight long and hard  to find some sanity,  and you hide in every corner  that takes you in  just so you can go and scream about  how much you want back out.

do you still pretend to see my perfection,  or have you seen the light and now see the dirt  that clings to me constantly instead?   
do you daydream and scribble notes,  do you hope and pray and say,  "someday... someday, she'll change"?   
or do you erase every trace and hope  for goodbye, just maintaining  this image of kindness to keep things simple?

Sorry, it's just the last time I wrote anything here, it was so depressingggggg. And while yes, I tend to be a depressing individual (especially where writing is involved), I don't feel like any of that anymore. So - update!

It's the second to last day of the semester for me today! That's right, college didn't kill me and my schedule wasn't as awful as I thought it would be. I am, however, going to have a D in the class I took for FUN! Lame! Sigh, my own fault, I suppose.

But! I took a my very first creative writing class! AND IT WAS AMAZING! Anddd...I decided that I am going to seriously pursue writing. I know, I know, judging by the quality of things here, you're probably saying OH GOD NO! But I've learned some things and if I get into the program I want to, I'll have about four more years of learning to go through. And if I'm still as bad then as I am now...well, then I'll kill myself or something I guess. Haha. But yeah, it feels SO COOL to have such a big part of my future figured out! I've been freaking out over what the hell I'm going to college for and now I can just focus on getting myself to where I want to be.

Besides all that...not being with anyone doesn't feel like death anymore! Yay! I'm pretty satisfied with my life, really (minus a few things). Of course, duh, sometimes I miss being with somebody (especially when I watch Ugly Betty...hahaha), but I'm not really all that concerned with it. I guess I finally realized that being on my own can be kind of cool and I'm not upset over the past anymore and I know that whenever I'm actually ready to try all that shit again, it'll happen.

So! Yeah! I'm rarely here anymore and everytime I promise to try harder, it usually doesn't work out so...I guess I'll see you when I see you ^^
